Nurturing Your Body Through Pregnancy with Prenatal Massage

Pregnancy is a beautiful journey, but it can also bring aches, pains, and discomfort. Prenatal massage offers a safe and nurturing way to alleviate these common complaints while promoting relaxation and well-being for both you and your baby.

Benefits of Prenatal Massage

  • Pain Relief: Prenatal massage can ease back pain, leg cramps, and headaches, common discomforts during pregnancy.
  • Improved Circulation: Enhanced blood flow delivers essential nutrients to your baby and promotes toxin removal.
  • Reduced Stress & Anxiety: Massage eases the physical tension that often accompanies stress and anxiety, promoting a deeper sense of calm.
  • Improved Sleep: Relaxation experienced during massage can help you achieve better quality sleep, crucial during pregnancy.
  • Preparation for Labor: Prenatal massage can help prepare your body for childbirth by improving flexibility and reducing muscle tension.

Prenatal Massage at The Fix

At The Fix, we understand the unique needs of expecting mothers. Our therapists are specially trained in prenatal massage techniques, ensuring your comfort and safety throughout the session. We use customized positioning with comfortable pillows and focus on areas safe for massage during pregnancy.  Relax and unwind as our therapists create a nurturing experience focused on your well-being and the well-being of your growing baby.

bodyCushion™ support system

The Fix offers bodyCushion™ support system for expecting mothers. This specially designed pregnancy pillow features a comfortable cut-out that cradles your growing belly, allowing most expectant mothers to safely and comfortably enjoy the pressure-relieving benefits of lying on your stomach. Made with soft, supportive materials, the bodyCushion™ promotes relaxation and proper spinal alignment throughout your pregnancy journey.

If you're one of the few who the bodyCushion™ support system doesn't work for we've got plenty of alternate positions and pillows to keep you comfortable and safe during your pregnancy massage.

What Prenatal Massage is NOT

  • A Substitute for Medical Care: It's crucial to consult with your doctor before starting prenatal massage if you have any high-risk pregnancy factors.
  • Deep Tissue Massage: Prenatal massage avoids deep pressure and focuses on lighter strokes for optimal comfort and safety.

High-Risk Pregnancy Considerations

If you have a high-risk pregnancy, open communication with your doctor is essential. They can advise you on whether prenatal massage is suitable and recommend any specific modifications.

Is Massage Safe in the First Trimester?

While some women choose to wait until the second trimester out of caution, prenatal massage is safe during the first trimester. Open communication with your therapist regarding your specific pregnancy journey is key. Letting your therapist know if you're pregnant or trying to conceive is crucial to receiving massage that is appropriate and safe for you.
